using Dixie Midnight liner on a very hairy horse?

Has anyone had problems doing this? I’m wondering about hair getting grabbed and pulled…I had one yrs ago & it worked fine on my guy’s summer coat, but his winter coat is a different story (!) When we get towards spring, I’ll do some clipping, but not ready to do that yet. Thanks for your insights!

You know that one side is smoother and the other side is rougher, right? do you have it with the smoother side down? Just had to ask, as it was hard for me to figure out which side was the horse side when I first got mine.

it goes on rough side down, by the way.

I have had one horse object to it, none of the others have minded it.

I never knew which side to put on the horse and I’ve used both. I love mine, never caused any problems for my horses and lots of my friends use them also. Keeps those expensive saddle pads completely clean and dry!

Rough side down, it says not to put the smooth side down on the instructions. I never had a problem using it on a hairy horse. I bet the horse will let you know.

Yes, rough side down. My horse is a hair yak, and I ride with it (nearly) every day.

Thank you, everyone. Sorry for my late reply. I think I’ll be ordering a new DM pad!
