USRider discounts for rental cars: Best one out there?

Sigh… I need to figure out this new little travel detail: Whether or not to try to figure out how to use one of the many discounts for rental cars that my USRider membership grants.

I hate this kind of comparison shopping, so I turn to the collective experience of COTH: Anyone have this figured out?

My travel dates are the first half of January, pick-up and return from an airport. Right now, the price to beat is about $300 for a compact for those 13 days.

I’ve used the US Rider discount for Hertz; I just don’t use it much anymore because I get a higher % off with my NEA membership.

I rent cars a lot and have become very loyal to Hertz.

I’ve been screwed over by just about every car rental company out there at least once… Hertz has always been the easiest for me to work with and has done the least amount of damage with their mistakes.

$300 from the airport for 13 days is probably about the best deal you will find!
