Uthopia to be sold at auction...not a joke!

TB’s are frequently sold with no reserve “to dissolve a partnership”. Quite often (almost always?) one partner get the horse. Yes, he has to be the top bidder and pay the full amount. But out of that payment, 1/2 comes back to him. So he is bidding $.50 on the dollar.

A gold medal winning stallion will go for many millions of $$. But Carl has supporters with deep pockets. And in addition to those who want to buy him for Carl, you also have a group who want to own part of a money making stallion.

Now Paul S. may come in and bid him up to $15,000,000 and get him. People at the top play with Monopoly money. Perhaps even a Sheikh will want him. But it sounds like Carl has plenty of $ behind him if everything stays in the realm of sanity.

But who knows with a stallion? How much did Totilas go for? Uthopia will probably go for less, but how much less?
