Uvex helmets - fit v Co AYR8?

I love the fit of my CO AYR8, which is one of the few helmets that fits me well.

I’d like to get a second helmet for trail riding, schooling etc.

I’m wondering how the Uvex compares fit wise, or if you can recommend another brand with a similar fit?

Thanks all!

I’m curious as well! They look cool! I contacted the rep about us carrying them, so if no one else responds soon, I will know how they fit by the end of the week, and will let you know.

I ride in an AYR8 for dressage but use a uvex for cross and as my everyday helmet. Love it! Much more comfortable and ventilated than the CO and the dial fit is amazing. Fits super well and it tightens all the way around as opposed to just the back.

Highly, highly recommend.

Tack of the Day has the Uvex Perfexxion in the close out section for a good price, if you decide to order one. I tried one on in the past and felt the fit was good on me, and I’ve also worn the CO GR8 so think they must be similar shape.

I have an oddly shaped head and my Uvex fits very well. I don’t quite remember which CO model fit me but I think it might have been the GR8. IRH long oval models tend to fit me pretty well if that helps. My Uvex is so well-ventilated and the dial fit is super secure unlike some cheaper helmets.

I’m not sure if the CO GR8 fits the same as an AYR8 or not…if not, than disregard. But I have a CO GR8 that fits me very well, and I LOVE my Uvex – I put it on in the store, and basically said, ahhhh, this is the one.

I have never worn a CO but do love my Uvex

I think that due to the dial fit system, the Uvex would fit any shape of head. Both the Uvex and the CO GR8 fit me really well and I am a long oval sort. Try one - you can always return it. (And the ventilation on the Uvex is nice.)

Do you show in your Uvex?
