"Vegan" boots

Thinking of buying another pair of boots because I recently lost my paddock boots…unforunate incident from the hood of my car reported on another thread. I’m currently wearing my show boots (Parlantis). Has anybody tried any of the Vegan boots? Do they look like leather boots? Extra shiny? Do they feel weird or cheap? Would you show in them? Sweaty? Is it a stupid concept in the scheme of things?

I am thinking of splurging on a pair of Fabbri ones because my fav boots of all time were those, but they are so pricey. Thanks so much!

Synthetic boots have been around for as long as I can remember.

I’ve had several pairs in my life. I currently school at home in a pair of Tuff Rider Synthetic Field Boots that I bought heavily discounted (talk about the total opposite of Fabbri). No complaints about the appearance— I get compliments on them! You don’t know they aren’t leather until you touch them, and even then, the material is pleasant enough. If the dirt cheap ones are passable and fine to ride in, I would expect the same from high end companies.

No experience but I’ve been eyeballing the Mountain Horse Veganza boots for the price.

I ADORE the Mountain Horse Veganza boots. They are my show boots, so no qualms about how they look, but I also can’t say how they hold up to everyday use. My only complaint is that the zipper started to fall down on maybe the 10th or 12th wear. Super annoying, but easily fixable with threading the zipper tab through a braiding rubber band. It’s also maybe due to them being slightly more snug then when I bought them. Ahem. Anyway, they’re one of the best horse-related purchases I’ve made in the last couple of years. I keep saying I’m going to buy a few pairs of them just to have in stock - I’m afraid they’re going to stop making them!

Thanks for your feedback on the Tuff Rider boots, they sound great, and I’m glad to know that they feel nice in addition to being compliment worthy! I am trying to decide whether to get an economical pair of boots or get a fancy pair that I will end up showing in. The Tuff Riders seem to be a great option, thank you! I have been riding occasionally in my kid’s Tuff Rider paddock boots from pony camp and they’re not bad either.

How great is the name Veganza, that is really fantastic. Will look into these babies! Ah, yeah, I can um, identify with some snugness with boots.

I have the Fabbri Vegan Boots. I love them and use them at shows. They look great and are low maintenance. I have worn them for several years and they are holding up nicely, highly recommend.

I looked into getting Deniro greenline boots but when I tried to put in an order Deniro said they’d had problems with material durability and were phasing them out. So it’s interesting to hear of some other brands.

I will say, where they show their price is in their footbed comfort and zipper durability.

I find them super uncomfortable for walking around in. And I’ve had constant problems with the zipper not catching correctly and popping open if I don’t pay attention. For what I paid for them, I’m not mad about it. But they wouldn’t be my first choice for schooling at home. I think they are a good option for something like a growing kid who will get limited use out of them.

Mountain Horse Veganza are brilliant. Super comfy, great fit and the price is definitely on point! Plus they come in 4 different calf and height combinations, so hopefully you’ll fit one of them  https://equizoneonline.com/products/veganza-vegan-riding-boots
