Just wanted to give a little update, OP. I received the Verhan ex-demo yesterday, it is nothing like my Childeric. Very narrow twist, seat is hard as a rock, and the leather isn’t that lovely, butter soft French leather, BUT the balance of the saddle is incredible and I felt like my position was great in it.
It is a very pretty saddle, and the quality is fantastic. I believe she told me this model was $5500, but as an ex-demo it is $2200 and in pristine condition. It sat pommel high on my horse, so I am waiting for my fitter to see what she thinks, but I like it enough to recommend that you at least try one out, you may love it!
