Fred Taht has a line of dressage saddles that I tried yesterday. His newest is Cirrus. I tried his prototype yesterday and loved it. Seat was so comfortable and I had a great position. Has anyone had any experiences with his saddles? He seems pretty knowledgeable and honest. I bit the bullet and put a deposit on one.
I personally don’t have any experience with him. But my Master Saddler in England recommended him for a final fitting of my custom saddle if my normal independent saddler was not back in the PA from SC by the time I needed it fit.
The independent saddler was happy to recommend him if she wasn’t available.
I was matched up with the Master Saddler who made the saddle by the independent saddler so she was involved in the original fitting and preferred to use her if possible. But she spent the winter in SC that year.
Thank you SonnysMom. It will be interesting to see what the saddle is like in my size. Maybe someone will respond who has sat in this saddle.
We loved the first one so much that we bought a second one. They fit all of the horses, and they put my two riders in a good position. Our customers like them too and ask about them after riding in them. I recommend them and Fred highly!
Thank you for your information MoSwanson. I wonder what the resale will be on this saddle if I ever decide to sell it. He said that he would be able to resell it to recoup the money. I guess we will see if that ever happens. The saddle did run $4,600 and it’s now well known yet since it’s a new brand.
