I believe it was 286 days.
Interesting information. I’m seeing these make-up videos everywhere. Quite often it’s a woman talking about something pretty serious, while putting on makeup.
Of course, I hardly ever wear makeup so the whole concept is weird to me. These days, it’s a bit of concealer under my eyes, light powder, and maybe lipstick that’s close to my natural lip coloring - but only for an online interview. I’ll dress it up a bit more for a wedding, adding blush and eye shadow.
Quite a contrast to my first master’s advisor, who was brilliant but insecure. Apparently her husband never saw her awake and without makeup; she’d get up 15 minutes before him to put on her makeup. And, well, she really overdid it. She was an attractive woman, but as I said, insecure. RIP Lizette…
Like reining, it’s a contentious form of exhibiting horses. I would say the same about padded horses and Arabian WP. If your horses look good, then I’m not talking about your horses.
I have owned and shown and loved QHs. But WP is declining in popularity as other, more athletic ways to show the breed are growing.
Are you suggesting women who enjoy makeup are insecure? I don’t quite know why you brought it up. Putting your face on can be good quiet time to go through the ritual. It’s not my jam, but there’s nothing wrong with it.
Absolutely not! But, I knew my Masters advisor to be insecure about her looks, among many other things. It just seemed odd to me that her husband didn’t see her without makeup.
This used to be a very common thing to do. I know ladies who have never been seen without makeup by their husbands except maybe right after giving birth. It’s not an insecurity issue it’s how they were raised.
Caught the recent video where he is napping and gets up. Does it appear edited in the getting up portion to anyone else?
Well said. She is just softening the audience up for what’s coming.
No influencer is “vulnerable” in their content. It is all designed to get revenue, and could be argued that it can never truly be “vulnerable” content whilst it benefits the creator.
Vulnerable is crying on your mum’s shoulder over a cup of tea, and no one to see you.
This? This is theatre.
She definitely cut him getting up
I’m guessing it’s not pretty or takes awhile. But at least he can do it I guess
How long before he injures himself? She posted this yesterday showing his foot caught in the treat basket thing she puts alfalfa in. She laughed about it saying she wasn’t sure how long he had his foot caught in it, but she would probably have to tie it up off the ground now. Why would you have something like that on the ground with an unstable, fragile horse? Wouldn’t you want to have an obstacle free area?
If he’s going to learn to horse, it’s now or never. That’s a pretty safe thing to let him interact with.
I am slightly unclear about where everything is…I think this may be closer to her house, but it’s also where the hang out area is…To me it doesn’t matter🤣 But I think during the day there is a ton of staff around too. Hopefully too much commotion for the common predator.
He actually seems to be getting around better since his hospital videos. I guess all that restricted living at the clinic wasn’t doing him any favors. Don’t take it the wrong way, he’s still far from normal.
Agreed. She did that to encourage movement and as a treat. He also had 2 big flakes of grass hay. I think where he is must be the “mini farm” …and that’s at her house. Across the road is her parents bigger place, Running Springs, the main farm. She’s in the flat of the valley, her folks place gets into the slopes and hills.
Hmph. She said she is nervous and people “should be kind.”
So, I am trying to understand. When they are waiting overnight for a mare to foal, they are on her property, then they all rush over across the street? And the parties are at her place? I get the impression she wants a new house, so trying to understand the large party barn there. Thanks
Not sure…I’m not that aware of all logistics
Exactly right. That poor colt should have been put down very early on in this painful process - but suddenly she had an even bigger captive audience marveling at her expertise, kindness and awesomeness… and rose (or dropped, depending on your point of view) to the occasion…
She has now started a scholarship for 3rd year vet students at the school in Seven’s name. She’s contemplating on if Seven can be there when they award the scholarship. The last thing in the world that poor guy needs is being hauled around for 6 hours, 3 hours each way approximately, for a photo op. I will say he’s moving a little better now. Not good, but better and she has admitted he’s on pain meds.
