Very premature foal

I took her to mean that the recipients would come to their farm if possible, not the other way around. Obviously could be totally wrong though.

I could be wrong too. I guess we’ll find out.

If Seven is living on pain meds that doesn’t bode well for his gut health.

My old mare was on pain meds the last few years of her life. I did give her breaks (and gave her ulcer meds during the breaks, just in case). She only had one minor gas colic in her life that resolved with 20 minutes of hand walking and that was many years before her retirement. She never had any issues with the pain medication, not even after switching to Aleve (sodium naproxen). Equioxx had stopped working. I truly believe switching pain meds extended the comfort and quality of her life.

In case anybody cares she finally posted a video of him getting up. It is much better than I thought. He seems to being doing pretty good at home.

THIS LINK WILL NOT GIVE HER “ CLICKS” cause I know some of ya’ll are vehemently against it :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

He does seem to get up pretty well, which is nice. But I see he has a thick supportive wrap on that front leg. Reading, it’s supposedly necessary every time he goes through a “growth spurt” because then his knee and/or fetlock begin to buckle. Needless to say, that’s not a good sign.

I do hope Seven has some quality of life and his pain is minimal. And when that all diminishes, I hope KVS has the moral courage to do the right thing. Finally.

Didn’t realize there’s a whole Reddit community dedicated to hating on her. That’s kind of gross.
He got up pretty easily. He still seems small for his age.

I would guess there are reddit communities for hating on lots of public figures.
She has made herself a public figure.

Edit to fix bad typing, revit and reddit are not the same thing. Not even close.

And this comment is posted on a thread created on a horse forum, to hate on her for her choices with this foal. Lol Why is one worse then the other? :woman_shrugging:t3:

Please keep in mind that that is only one video, which was curated for the purpose of showing him getting up, in perfect circumstances. A heavily bedded stall, that is level, with a sturdy wall nearby.

How many other videos could show him struggling with any normal thing that the average horse encounters daily- uneven ground, hills, other horses, etc?

Is there a video explaining the bandaging on his leg?

While I understand the argument, he is living in an environment where he encounters none of that. Flat paddock, no turnout buddies, short walk to and from his stall, oversize stall with deep bedding. He is set up for success the best he can be.

Support for his leg during growth spurts. They splint/cast it.

This thread is disagreeing with one of her choices. That Reddit community is about bashing every choice she makes. It’s literally called KVSnark.
IMO the Reddit community is bullying. I hope that if KVS came on here and read this thread she would understand it’s because we disagree with her choices, not because we want to make her feel bad about herself.

The comments on the video linked most recently are actually very positive (more positive than I feel about the situation), so if the intent there is to bully her and make her feel bad about herself, they are failing.

Have you read this thread? I mean, there was an entire section on her putting make up on.

Reddit snark communities are a thing. I’ve glanced at the KVS one and most of the snark seems to be reserved for the “Kulties”, those followers who tag Katie in every horse-related post and have a very poor grasp of boundaries. Some of them stalk (or try to - Katie stopped posting details of where her sold horses go) buyers of Katie’s stock so they can go visit the horse.

One person with a horse that formerly belonged to Katie (or her parents, can’t recall) noted that she’d had the horse gelded and was looking forward to showing him. Cue outrage: “Did you ask Katie if you could geld him?” Yes really. Another one tagged Katie in a post advertising a 5 figure horse, asking Katie to “rescue” a clearly well-cared-for animal. The owner was NOT happy about that.

I can’t imagine that kind of a fanbase is good for business. I’d be wary of buying a horse if I thought the purchase included a bunch of randos showing up unannounced to bother the horse/me.

Most of the posts relate to her absolutely unhinged followers and their antics.

Her poor management of Wally is a hot topic right now, along with her decision to sell a mini to a Canadian influencer slash BYB slash hoarder. You want to put your bad decisions out there on social media, then people will want to talk about them.

Meanwhile, Tattle has a 23 page long thread dedicated to roasting equestrian influencers… and it is thread # 30 (threads get locked at 50-odd pages… so that’s 1500 pages of snark)

The makeup comments are uncalled for and it was pretty quickly shut down by other COTH members.

Just because something is common doesn’t mean it’s good.

I see the comments here, the ones regarding the condition of the colt, as disagreement not hate.
