Paradoxically, if you’re a social media celebrity, haters are good for business because they feed the algorithms. Anything that drives engagement is good for the bank account. They will acknowledge as much, and it’s why you don’t see anyone trying to ban things like snark pages, except where there are threats of harm.
BUMP!
This vid popped up on my newsfeed & the title intrigued me “Mini horses get feet numbed”
I think that was a typo, but here’s KVS & at 1:30 Seven in the background looking very unsound.
& Herself sounding oblivious.
I don’t have the tech skill to zoom in, but that walk is not looking good.
BUMP!
My newsfeed keeps popping up w/KVS vids.
Since I have looked at a couple, must be the algorithm
This one features Seven & I have to say he looks 100% better.
Nowhere near normal for a yearling, but helluva lot better than the hospital ones.
Nice to see him outside, on grass, interacting (in a controlled way) with the minis & moving in a way that seems less contorted/painful.
That LF may never develop normally, but she’s got the Deep Pockets to keep him going. & Hopefully the sense to call it if he backslides
I see her videos on TikTok and only watch th seven ones. Haven’t seen any of him in a while but I do agree he’s doing much better since he got home. I’m guessing it’s the outside time, etc
Yes he looks somewhat better BUT he isn’t moving. I don’t think staying stationary was his problem, he just can’t walk. Or anything else any faster. I do think he is happier here than in the hospital but in this case happiness is relative term. I can personally understand the sadness when we have to let them go but when the prognosis is that awful I think we need to make that decision.
I think the day long turnout is helpful, and he doesn’t seem more “lame” than when he was in the clinic. Clearly his almost total lack of movement is abnormal for a horse and especially for a horse his age. There have been a couple videos of them bringing him in and he’s only able to walk very slowly. I don’t think he’s gonna hit double digits in horse age, but he seems “ok” for what he is.
He’s doing better than I expected. I took this from her post, so it doesn’t give more clicks to her.

His eyes look sleepy/tired/defeated to me. Maybe it was the end of a long hot day or something.
His eyes look exactly the same to me?
The same as what? They’ve looked like this for a while, I’ve commented on it before.
I don’t think he looks tired or defeated, he has the same facial expression he’s always had.
He just looks like he hurts and is over it, but keeps on keeping on.
That might be a better way to describe it.
He does not have a normal expression in his eye, IMO. There’s more there.
Well, he’s upright and walking, albeit gingerly, with an odd toe-first snapping of that right front fetlock. So there’s that.
How much of a life he has, or how much pain he endures on a daily basis, is up for speculation. But if he were mine, he’d have gone to Horsey Heaven a long time ago. Even with seeing this video snippet, I’d be fine with having made that decision.
Isn’t the right front fetlock the one that was fused?
I’m an idiot. I meant to say his left front fetlock, the one with the noticeable white mark (I’m assuming it’s white hair???) on it, is stepping wonky with that tip-toe, snappy step. The right front is the leg that turns out awkwardly.
Honestly, I can’t remember which front leg had the fused joint. That colt had so many surgeries and casts and wraps. It all blends together in my aging mind.
I can’t remember either to be honest. LOL
This baby (now yearling) has never known a completely normal painfree day in his entire life.
I’d be amazed if he had any other look to him.
He’s now clickbait until something gives & even KVS* can see he needs the release of euth.
*at least I hope she has that much of a shred of decency
That poor little thing. What a horrible thing to do to a horse.
I think the white spot is a silver wound spray. If I’m remembering what she mentioned is that he had a small “boo boo”. . She put up another video today, Dr Ursine (sp) and a few others from the university came to see him. It’s too long for me to copy and post here. I think she said it’ll be on YouTube later.
