We have an elderly kitty with aspiration pneumonia. The story is very long but she was prescribed oral amoxicillin and I can’t find a thing on this. Was wondering if IV would be better.
oral clavamox would be much better

Strangely I have that. She was given that for a possible UTI (31mg, she is a 5 pound cat) so I have it but they gave us 50mg of Amox (both Q12) at the emergency clinic today. Would IV be better? She goes back to her vet tomorrow but I just don’t want to lose today on a sub-optimal dose. She is 21 with decreased renal function.
Oral clavamox is a good option for pneumonia
