Hi all - I have a retiree with a history of suspensory issues, moving him to CA soon and looking for vet reccos. Found this thread to be super helpful but wondering if anyone has any North Bay specific recommendations (he’ll be in Healdsburg). We have great reccos for rehab facilities in case injury flares up again but any suggestions for a regular vet would be very appreciated
Dr Amber Bowen, she did my lameness exam and all the shots/paperwork short notice on a horse I needed shipped. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I believe she was a vet on the track in FL before she moved.
Dr Steve Wood has been amazing, especially when dealing with my colicky horse that needed PTS,
Dr Perce, I think he’s right in Windsor (maybe Healdsburg?) hes very honest, a little old school (in a good way) I think he’s still working?
Anyone at Circle Oak. Dr Jack Snyder is amazing.

Thank you! I have the feeling Circle Oak will be the biggest asset for me up here in case he has another flare-up and needs rehab, so thinking it might be a good idea to have them also in charge of his wellness.
Just a heads up. This showed up in my inbox earlier this month. I don’t use Circle Oak (they did one service for me ($$$$$) while my horse was with another trainer so I ended up on their mailing list):

We use Don Smith and his associate vet Kendall Cannon. Dr. Smith can be quite busy though.
