Have you done a blood test to confirm low vitamin E levels? Our soil is crappy and we’ve had three horses test for low levels of Vitamin E. Our clinical signs were muscle atrophy, soreness, neurological symptoms, etc. In all three cases, we had to give a loading dose for several weeks followed up with a second blood test and maintenance levels of Vitamin E thereafter. It made a world of difference and now we know what to look for.
