I’m looking for recommendations for AAEP member vets for a full pre purchase with digital X-rays, in the general area between Napa and Sacramento. Practice large enough to have Sports medicine and ophthalmology specialists would be ideal.
Loomis Basin Equine Medical Center about 20 miles north of Sacramento is well thought-of for PPE’s. They have a consulting ophthmalogist.
Not sure about Opthalmology, but you can try Petaluma Equine https://www.petalumaequine.com/
Also not sure what UC Davis offers, but it might be worth shooting them an email to see if they can do it. Definitely lots of specialists there.

Maybe Napa Valley Equine. I do not know the current team of vets. I did know the vet who sold out her share when she moved out of state a few years ago. Very well-regarded at that time.
UC Davis for an ophthalmology consult if needed.
I know folks who have been happy with having a full PPE done at UCD by Sarah le Jeune. Done at the hospital so easy access for consults like ophtho.
