I am considering looking at a 2-year old in Burlington, WI. Does anyone have any recommendations for vets in that area who could do a pre-purchase exam (or particular vets to avoid)? It looks like Burlington falls into Racine county and also Walworth county.

I’m not sure how far away they are but the vets at Wisconsin Equine Clinic in Oconomowoc are fantastic. I’ve driven two hours up to them several times instead of going to the local clinic that’s five minutes from my house. I know they also have mobile units for vaccinations so I would think if they’re in the travel range they could do a PPE as well.
Lodi Vet, which joined with Madison Equine, might cover that area.
I’m not sure if Dr. Casserly (he’s in Ixonia, WI) covers that area, but my mother and I used him for years. Now we’re in Madison and Lodi Vet is closer; hence, cheaper (as far as the barn call goes). If Dr. Casserly is too busy or far away, I’ve never had an issue with Lodi Vet, but I highly recommend Dr. Casserly.
