Video surveilance without WiFi for foaling

I am preparing for a foal in mid March. My one attempt to breed last year for a more weather friendly foal last year was semi disastrous, so we decided we should start early this year and sent my mare to a repro center and of course, she was pregnant in a few days! Great news, except the idea of living at the barn in March is not really appealing, which is why I dreamed of that May baby! Anyway, my mare is boarded and I live a significant distance away. There is no WiFi in my barn. I am trying to find a security camera that I could set up that will directly connect to cellular that I could watch from a nearby hotel or friend’s house when birth is impending.

Sounds like you need an external hotspot device to run a wifi camera through. We give them out to our students to run their laptops off of. I would assume you could attach one to the stall and run a wifi camera off of it as well.

What @Mulligan314 said – pick a cellular provider, get a ‘hotspot’ and then connect any camera to it. Try to get a camera that you can control the frame rate, because it will chew through your data plan.
