Vienna Reins

Suggestions on good sources for Vienna reins? I used a pair during a clinic that were rope and a pulley. Very smooth, easily adjustable, and my horse understand the message right away. I have a pair of all leather at home and they don’t allow as much flexibility for the horse because they are bulky.

I highly prefer Lauffer side reins over Vienna reins. I can’t see what the advantage of directing the horse’s chin down between its front legs would be, but I do like that the reins can slide and help the horse find his own balance within parameters. It took some hunting, but these are the Lauffer reins I have. They area really hard to find for some reason! These are a little short for my 17H mare, so if I was ever in the market again, I’d probably have a pair made.
