Wow, our June ride was a tremendous success! The weather was fabulous for June in Virginia. I had to wrap up with a blanket every night as it cooled down and the days were pleasant and low humidity.

There is a crazy fun event in July at our Orkney Springs, VA basecamp. It is a Ride and Tie Clinic and competition. But for those of us who don’t want to get off our horse and run away from it (ME) you are also invited to come and practice your horse camping and ride the trails. The web site doesn’t have the details posted yet but as soon as they are available I will post them here.
In October there will be a great and informative clinic about the basics of endurance riding.
Later in October we have the 2-day Fort Valley Endurance rides. The great fall weather and fall colors in Fort Valley, VA makes the two days of rides very memorable.
Surprise!!! 2015!!! Talk about planning ahead… The Old Dominion will be hosting the AERC National Championship rides in October 2015 at our Orkney Springs basecamp.
