Virtual Horse Show Class Sponsorships

Our Show Manager Extraordinaire, Lord Helpus, has suggested on the This is One Heckuva Horse Show thread that we offer sponsorships. I thought it deserves it’s own thread.

The sponsorship has been suggested to “cost” $2.00 per entry in class donated to the charity of your choice. To which I said, “SPLENDID IDEA”.

Lord Helpus has sponsored the Pony Hunter Class which will be called “Apache Pony Hunter Class” after her first pony.

I, Cactuskate, have sponsored the Model Hunter Class. It shall be known as the “Clownin’ Memorial Model Hunter Class” after my dear Clownie, now deceased, the A/A Hunter that gave me so much confidence and had a heart as big as the world.

My donation has been made with the Fire Fighters 9-11 Disater Relief Fund in the amount of $100.00. If the entries increase beyond 50 as is now the case, I will make another donation somewhere to keep the “pot right”.

Anyone else care to claim a class?

This is soooo wonderful, Lord Helpus. And by the way who knew your moniker would be so appropriate? Hmmmmmm.

“The older I get, the better I used to be, but who the heck cares!”

I’d be delighted to sponsor the Jumpers Over 3’6" class, in honour of Highland Cricket, the jumpingest jumping bean of a pony that ever lived.

I would love to sponsor a division.

I would like to sponsor the Adult Eq. in honor of my great medal horse, Opening Night who lived to 26…

We donated to the Red Cross this morning.

Okay, I’m confuzzled… I’m sponsoring the junior hunters. But I can’t find the junior hunters? Where did they go? Are tehy here, am I blind? If I am should I see a doctor? Hmm… points to ponder… anyway if anyone happens to know where the junior hunters wandered off to I would greatly appreciate the help because I’ve got to count how many…
thanks

I hereby claim the sponsorship of the Children’s Hunter 2’-2’6". It will hereby be known as the “Harrison Children’s Hunter 2’-2’6” Class" in honor of my very first horse, who showed me the ropes and helped strengthen my love in horses.

My donation has been made to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, for more than enough for $2 per entry.

I didn’t see this thread–
I’ll sponsor whatever no one’s taken, but can we call it the "Touch of Class _______ " ?

I’ll sponsor the adult hunters, 2’-2’6" in memory of my first horse, Whitney. It shall be the Whitney Adult Hunters 2’-2’6". She taught me how to steer, by trotting straight to the ingate! Although our time together was short, we had many fun trail rides together galloping in the hills.

I’ll donate the $2/entry, for a minimum of $100 to the Red Cross.

If the ponies get split, I’ll sponsor the small ponies IN HONOR OF GLENMORE SALLY,

our beloved daughter of Charlie Brown’s Snoopy who went from Barbara Camps field to WEF Champion in 6 months.

My donation to the Salvation Army, who are providing numerous relief services to FAMILIES OF THE SURVIVORS.

I went to Dillons this week and made a several dollar donation with my purchase to the relief fund, so I hereby sponsor the
MEDAL class…renaming it after the horse I learned to jump on…

“The Magic Medal Class”

sounds cool huh?

Lord Helpus…
How about a PONY EQ class…and I’ll sponsor IT???

I’ll sponsor the Childrens Hunter 3ft class… honoring the winner with the Count On Me Perpetual Trophy… in honor of a horse that gave me much more than lots of ribbons.

I’ll also take the Adult Hunter 3ft class if no one wnats it instead… and we’ll call it the U-Bet Memorial Trophy in memory of a wonderful adult horse at Hillcrest that died this past year.

For the combination… I’ll give an additional $50 to the red cross, along with the $50 I’d already set aside.

(if anyone has a problem with my claiming two, I will give up the Adult Class)

My dorm will take Pre Green as the Bryan Jones Memorial (wonderful NC trainer) and I’ll take some other hunter class (don’t care what) as the Let’s Flip for It class in memory of my first show pony.

HUNTERS – PRO TO RIDE: – open

Cost to sponsor a class is $2.00 times the number of entries. This will give non-riders a chance to participate in the show and will double our donations.

[With a little luck – and subterfuge - we can get our show reported like a regular show in COTH – This may be (no guarantees) a chance to get your horse’s name in the Magazine!]

Oh serengeti36, how nice of you to remember Bryan Jones…

“The older I get, the better I used to be, but who the heck cares!”

I will sponser the under saddle class
It will be called Ascension under saddle.

I don’t know if you knew him, I didn’t really know him, he didn’t know my name. But I had met him a few times and he had always been so friendly and he trained one of my friends. I just always appreciated his smile and I know many others did. He is remembered in NC so why not remember him here too?

I’ll sponsor the Flat Eq.

Call it the Isabell Memorial.

My contribution will go to the Salvation Army.

I have just updated the list and it appears that the only class left without a sponsor (at least one) is the Open Hunters.

Several people said that they would like to sponsor any class available, so I assigned them a class. Please check the list and if you would like to be moved, I will be happy to move you.

Thanks again, fellow BB’ers.
