Virtual Lessons -Trainers

My search yielded less that optimal results.
So here goes: looking for Dressage/Eventer trainers/instructors that offer virtual lessons.

The handful I’ve reached out are no longer offering live virtual lessons and only doing recorded lessons.

I have a flex work schedule and keep my horses at home so can ride at home more often then trying to trailer anywhere. My current instructor can only fit my 2 horses in every other week. I would like to lesson more often as it keeps me motivated to ride.

Any suggestions?

Not exactly what you are looking for, but I really enjoy the Ride iQ app. I’ve been using it for a year now.

No, they aren’t real time lessons, but they are helpful and there is a wealth of information through different instructors. The lessons keep me goal-oriented and on track. There is always one that aligns with what I’m seeking for a specific ride. Plus they have built a nice online community. I think some people have been able to connect with instructors who do live virtual lessons via the community (but don’t quote me on that).

There is a promo right now where you can download any lesson for free to try it out.

I just downloaded Ride IQ and going to try it out.

TBH I need more accountability to prioritize riding over the 50 million other priorities I have. When I pay $$ I tend to bump it higher on the priority list and put more effort as to not embarrass myself.

Story of my life!!!

Ride iQ helps me a bit with that- I mean, not as much as actual lessons. But I’m still paying for it so that motivates me to make time for riding when it would be easy to let it slide.

I feel like if I set up a camera and recorded myself in addition to Ride iQ, I would make even more progress, because you are lacking the “eyes on the ground” responsive component. But it still helps me a ton to have someone in my ear saying things like, “make sure you check your position before the transition,” etc.

Some lessons I can follow along with exactly what the instructor is doing/saying. Others don’t work for my ride for whatever reason, then I just end up listening while doing my own thing. But I still glean nuggets of good info even if I’m not doing exactly what the instructor says. There are tons of lessons at every level so you aren’t always listening to the same thing.
