Vitamin D supplements

with the onset of cloudy , gloomy season, along with indoor isolation I am interested in what Vit D supplement folks are using.

I use the Kirkland brand from Costco. I take one 2000 IU capsule a day and have my D levels checked once a year.

ETA: I live in the PNW am in my late 50s and always wear sunscreen/sunshirts and a hat when outside.

I live in western Washington as well

I take a 1000 IU supplement daily. I noticed a positive difference from doing so.

I’m on a high dose with my neurologist’s guidance (MS = gotta keep that D up). I take 25,000 IUs/week, because she told me that taking it weekly is just as effective as daily dosing, and it’s easier for me to remember when Sundays are D days. I take five 5,000 IU tablets purchased at PCC, which is a local co-op chain here in the PNW.

I take this, with a meal with fat, on the recommendation of my doc. He wants D3&K2.

I was taking a similar supplement at 2000iu, and it wasn’t enough to get my levels up where he wanted–AND I spend a good part of the day outside!
