Vitamin E Supplement vs test result: What's your numbers?

It’s springtime and I figured it would be interesting to get a comparison if others are getting Vitamin E levels checked with spring vet check-ins/shots.

Here’s my details:

Rising 8yr old mare
Medium work/dressage
No pasture access
5000 IU daily of Emcelle
Vitamin E Level: 505 ug/dl

I’m happy with her levels being on the ‘higher’ side as it’s easy for barn staff to dose grain and know that even in heavier training or competing that she’s covered.

I’ve requested the same for our vaccine appointment next week. Will report back when I get the results.

My husband’s horse had a reading of 273 in mid-Oct, and we started him on Ultra Cruz 4,000 IU daily in mid-January. (Slightly delayed start b/c I had initially received conflicting vet advice).

Got our test results today. Vit E is up to 467. Nothing in his diet has changed other than giving him Vit E and also Vermont Blend (which doesn’t have added Vit E), so the Santa Cruz seems to be getting results.
