Is parking provided for volunteers?
Yes, but it’s limited and only for the days you’re working. To get in, you have to be in uniform and carrying your credentials. The organizers are encouraging carpooling.

The director of parking said…it you do not have your uniform AND your credentials on when attempting to enter parking then you will be charged. You must have BOTH on to enter with free parking.
For outrider volunteers, parking is NOT covered, and they are being directed to park over a mile away. NO tack stalls either. That means hauling feed, tack, etc, yourself “cross-country” (no pun intended, but strikes me as pretty ironic).
Grounds pass for day of eventing only. Haul in between 7 am and 9 am on Fri (and if you miss that window, no entry. period.), haul out after eventing on Saturday. Almost all outriders live several states away, so are now faced with finding places to board their horses in or near Lexington Thurs pm and Sat pm. Not to mention hotel rooms, availability and price of which is already duly noted elsewhere.
Hope WEG is treating the competitors better than they are the volunteers.
