Gosh he’s adorable!! Looks like he has a fantastic mind as well.
You are welcome, goodpony. If Lucy were not currently toting around my daughter at tadpole, I would have kept Annie as her replacement My nine year old said no way, so at some point Lucy not only gets to have another foal by Top Gun, she’d better have a bay filly for me

Mick is the sire of my Premium mare and the grandsire of CH Aedan Zodiac, As well as Lorcan who I mentioned earlier–I agree with smallchange, you’d be very hard pressed to improve on the temperament. He has a lot of really nice offspring both pure and part bred. One of his partbreds was 1st after dressage at the AEC’s this year over like 90 rides!
Our Mick daughter only recently took up jumping (had a beatiful colt for me in 2010) and has since gone back to being a riding pony. She and her rider are scoring near 70% (69.9%) at 1st Level with multiple high score awards and have placed in nearly all their jumping shows (she is still green over fences-just started jumping late last year). She is a really neat pony–so bomb proof that my 9yo can ride/handle her easily. She is really cool-love her! She is also not little–14.3-15HH out of a 14.1HH mare.

Have to put in another vote for Mick. Friend of mine has a lovely, lovely imported mare that he’s hoping to breed this year and I’m pushing hard for Mick for her as I think she’d compliment him beautifully. If we were breeding this year (taking a year off) I would have put my *Fairyhill Queen (dam of the palomino colt sired by Goodpony’s Eclipse) to him. He’s proven to the hilt and one of my favorite stallions and getting up there in age so I’m hoping to use him or have friends use him before he passes.

EM, there is also Caraway Finn standing down in my area. They say he is a good one. I dont know much about Connemaras though. Hilary Lecluse is on my FB page, she is the daughter of the owner, maybe you can chat with her or go see him or something to give you an idea?[/QUOTE]
I like Caraway Finn a lot. He is not promoted much, but he is a lovely pony.
His owner, Hillary’s mum, is Christine Carey, and she is also on FB.
They bought an AFR daughter (one of my homebreds) to breed to him and had a beautiful filly this year.

Lovely, Small Change.
Recent Pics of Top Gun
Here are some of him if you haven’t seen Top Gun recently or in person.
Vanessa Morgan still has frozen on Gunsmoke. You can contact her through her website, www.connemararas.com.
From what I understand, Art will only be standing via frozen semen this spring. He will be competing, and since his owner is out of the country a lot for work, it is easy for them to manage that way. You can contact his owner for further info.
Goodpony, I’m thrilled to hear that you’re going to give Roy a chance. If I didn’t have all my mares booked for this year, I’d be jumping in line. Perhaps 2014
Yes, Art is at Peterson Smith in Ocala being collected and frozen now, then he goes to Missy Ransehousen for the winter. Donna may show him herself in February if she is in the country. I am planning on an ET foal this year with Art and the new forest pony mare who is at prelim.
pcwertb- I see Connor is still on your site. Did the sale not happen?
He is a super moving guy. Very nice!
The buyer had a large life changing event. I was taking payments on him and refunded her money. He is still a colt as he is so quiet, but I will geld him and Flynn in February. Both are furry yak things as they are almost yearlings now!!

Vanessa is also on FB–you might try to reach her through there as well.
Im in the preliminaries of starting my Art filly and I really like her: smart, funny, a little opinionated and so athletic/well balanced. She reminds me a whole lot of her older brother (same mother) by Glenormiston Billies Bay (Castle Baron x Glenormiston Ballycara) at this same age. She has an *exceptional walk!!! and is super elastic really swings through her whole body–which is really rare to see in the breed. Im really looking forwards to seeing what she feels like under saddle.

Well this has started as an interest for W.H. Topgun and… I’m completely in love with ArdCeltic Art. Now to inquire about him…

My TBxConn mare had a filly by him in 2011. Really fabulous moving individual with a great brain. You can see her on my website listed below, her name is Brambleridge Celtic Sparrow. I sold her to an eventing home last fall.
