Wanted: Sport Horse Stud - under $750

You will be very happy with your Nevada baby. I have bred to him several times. He is a terrific stallion with great temperament, rideability, conformation and talent. He passes all of that to his offspring. I bred some lovely mares to him in the past and the foals were all better than moms. Plus, Darlyn is great for support, very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with.

He is located in PA, so not too far. We have a colt by him at our farm. He is adorable and very good, and is out of a TB mare.

Good Luck!

Concerto Grosso Holsteiner Stallion

I am offering Concerto Grosso, a producer of lovely sporthorses, jumpers, foxhunters and eventers for $750 to TB performance mares. The collection and shipping is $175 and he gets most of his mares pregnant on the first cycle.

Please check out my Old/ISR licensed stallion, Peabody at:
www.halfpassfarmva.com

For “local” people, I can do live cover with him for $500. This is “return service” breeding for the year, not LFG, though. We are in Northern Virginia.
His temperament in unbeatable…he also has three excellent, elastic gaits and a super jump as well.

You may want to check out Nevada. Very nice w/b who throws great temperaments from what I’ve heard. I’m not positive about his current stallion fee but I think I remember hearing he can be bred LC and he’s in VA. I’d give Fairview Horce Center a call and get the details. He might be just what your looking for.

I love Nevada and his owner Darlyn is fantastic to work with. One of my broodmares is by him and she is my favorite mare. Also, if you are willing to do fresh cooled my young stallion Legaczy is 30% off until March 1st making him $770. The first collection is included. We are in Western MD. Legaczy is producing winners in hunter breeding and Future Event Horse divisions.

I’d suggest ISF Neptune. He is a Dutch WB you’d get reg. B papers.

Both ours by him have FANTASTIC minds and are pretty to boot. Both have great style over fences , the mare is a better mover and a little fancier but both are improvements on the mare.

I believe ISF is selling his frozen doses(300.00 per dose) and they are very reasonable. Not to mention the ISF team is wonderful to work with very helpful in every way.

I went and got the link and was about to post it when I saw your post! Great minds think alike!

He is a really nice stallion and Jill is fantastic to work with. If you have the chance you should arrange a visit.

Handsome, a registered paint stallion at Phyllis Jones’ farm in VA. Has a lot of TB…good mind, movement and I think 16.2

Seattle Jones, TB stallion standing in NC. Great mind, lovely mover, stylish jump. $500 LFG as he is only five, but already winning at Novice eventing (but my hunter friends love him). See his page on Facebook for pix and (as soon as I learn to edit) video.

Fan of concerto grosso, seattle jones here…

Legaczy

Second the vote for Legaczy  I am partially to this young stallion.

Here is my Legaczy daughter Karissa Herself: http://www.herselffarm.com/images/Karat_FEH_Finals_-_Yearling.JPG

Legaczy stamps his offspring and they are exquisite!!! Best of all his owner is a fabulous stallion owner to work with!

Concerto Grosso

Come say “Hi” to CG in Central Virginia. He is stabled between Charlottesville and Richmond just off I-64.

While we don’t do LC, the AI and shipping fees at
Mountain View Equine Hospital www.mveh.com
are very reasonable and most mares settled on the first breeding cycle.

OP, if you haven’t made your final decision, we still have a few breedings available from the OHBS/GOV stallion service auction that easily meet your price criteria. There are a few very nice hunter type stallions on this list. You can PM me for more details.

Hey everyone, Thanks so much for all your help and suggestions. I went and met two wonderful stallions a few weeks ago, had a very hard time picking between the two. They were both very correct and athletic horses with EXCELLENT KIND personalities! I got very lucky that both of the two I went to see were wonderful matches for my mare. I ended up going with a very handsome Oldenburg that has already produced some amazing off spring! The sweet “man” I went with spoke for himself but I have never found a stallion owner so easy to work with, very understanding and honest. For those who didnt think I could find what I was looking for, I did!!! You would be surprised what you find if you put your mind to it!!!
Couldn’t ask for more! Can’t wait to make the trip with my mare in April!!!
Again, thanks for all your help!

Jumper, who did you pick??

Yes, and I remember Darlyn was telling me he throws height consistently, even though he himself is not that tall. I know I was considering him for one of my Arab mares. Nice boy and ALOT of his babies are out there doing stuff in the ammie world.
Ask her about his babies!

If you want to go pure TB my stallion Noles is producing some very nice TB show babies. Three are showing on the circuit they are 5 this year. 2 in hunters, 1 in jumpers. They all amazing canters and fantastic form over fences. Here is an example of one of his foals.

This is a 4 yr old last year in the baby greens at HITS, she pinned well:

IF you like color, our homozygous stallion, Counterclaim, may fit your bill. He’s 16.2, has had lots of fantastic foals (many who 's owners are happy to give references)…and is as sweet as they come! look at our website, and contact us if you have an interest…Good luck!
