War Bridle-Legal? BOT-Legal?

Hi All,

I am fairly new to the dressage world-I have been an active hunter queen for many years but have recently taken on a new found respect for dressage and what it has done/will do for me and my horses. I am hoping to attend some schooling shows this summer. I have heard that the Back on Track products are not allowed. Is this true? Both of my mares benefit from the daily use of the saddle pad and I was going to buy a white one for showing. Also, I know bit less bridles are not allowed, but what about bridle less bits (i.e. war bridles-nylon or leather bit strap in mouth connected to reins) My one mare goes so much more relaxed with her war bridle versus a traditional bridle-she is a tad better in her Micklem bridle (those are allowed correct?) Any light shed on legal/illegal bridles/tack would be appreciated!

Back on track pads are certainly legal. War bridle is not sadly. Micklems and PS of Sweden are legal.

Thank you! I am happy to hear BOT are legal.

The only thing with the BOT pad is they do say “Back on Track” on them, so even though I do show in mine I worry about the logo rule. However it is in yellow thread on the billet strap so not super noticeable. the USEF Dressasge rules are very clear and spell out the requirements exactly

I use my BOT white pads all the time when showing. I show breed shows and dressage shows. Never had a problem.

I use BOT saddle pads too - no problem. The only thing to be aware of - they do create heat, so on a really hot day, you may want to use a regular pad. I don’t use them for Summer shows unless I have an early ride when it is still cool.
