Warmblood brand identifcation help

Does anyone know this brand? It is on a large warmblood pony born in 2007 but I would love to know more about his origin. Thanks!

That looks like a breeding-facility-specific brand. I many other breeds, the “ranch” or facility that bred the horse brands them with their specific brand. This is not a typical warmblood brand - meaning the pony wasn’t accepted by a specific breed organization. But it was branded by someone who wanted the world to know “I bred this pony” and that usually means they breed a lot of ponies/horses because they have their own brand.

Do you know the breed and the state it was bred in? Or country it came from? @Lala1

Let me start by saying, “I don’t know.”

Then, I’ll add that I have a German-born pony mare (Connemara) with a brand that has some similarities. It looks like a fern and has two numbers below. I have been told that it is a regional designation for the place in Germany where she was born. Perhaps yours is as well.

There may be a way to look up those regional insignia, again “I don’t know.”

Thank you for the info!

Thanks for the info! I do not have any more specifics on him other than he was imported but I do not even know where from.

Just for grins I tried a Google image search. Got a few tapirs as a result  No matches on the brand unfortunately. So much for AI!

On a more serious note, I wonder if there’s a brand registry in Europe that could help you. Maybe someone who understands the branding process in Europe could chime in with some suggestions.

Agreed, that’s what this is. The numbers are usually the last two or last 3 and 4 numbers of his lifetime number and the symbol is to do with the area he was born. He’s probably registered DSP or German Sporthorse so I’d start by contacting them.
