Yep wondering the same about the March test, assuming it has occurred.
Know nothing about microbiology, just bureaucratic organizations. I agree with those who said that the USDA would never have released this horse if they believed there was a ghost of a chance that he really had glanders in any form.
But they had to follow policy by holding him, even if USDA personnel themselves had some skepticism about the positives (that’s just a guess).
I’m guessing that there were some USDA personnel hoping for that final happy outcome the entire time - but, as professionals, also prepared to do what we the taxpayers pay them to do, and that is follow the protocol to protect the rest of us.
So very, very glad that this horse made it out of quarantine, and hoping that the assumed recent testing proves that he is still a healthy horse.
And thanks to everyone who contributed to the education in this thread. Wow did I learn a lot about both testing and importing.
