When foals are inspected, do big blemishes come into consideration, such as large healed wounds that are obvious but may not be causing issues, obvious muscle damage that may have healed? Curious. Thanks!
It’s all subjective and depends on who is inspecting, but they are mostly looking for foals’ overall structure, balance and gaits. They also have a type in mind and each year is a little different depending on what they want to “tweak”. So, I would not thing something cosmetic would be a big scoring disadvantage. Foals are great at getting into dangerous situations and suffering the consequences.
If it doesn’t interfere with the movement, soundness, or health of the horse, it’s not likely to be a big deal.
