Warmest Full Seat Breeches??

Hi, visiting from the eventing world.
Just wanted to ask opinions about the warmest/comfortable full seats for riding in the winter.
Any recommendations greatly appreciated!

Equissentials winter breeches, hands down.

Boinks are not quite as $$ as the Equissentials. I can’t compare, since I only have the Boinks. But the two-layer boinks have soft, plush polarfleece inside, and a cotton outside. They cut the wind, and are lovely warm. No longjohns needed.

I ride down to single digits in still temps, and windchills down to 0 or so.

I live in my Boinks in the winter. Even on no-ride days I wear them for chores because they are comfy, supportive and WARM.

irideon windpros rock! i have kerrits fleece, not full seat, but if there is any wind at all, i had to wear silk longjohns to cut the wind.

last week i wore my irideons for the first time, temp was 37 with a wind chill of 20. i lost my cellphone while riding and had to go back out to look for it. i was freezing my torso, but my legs were toasty, even an hour after searching. the irideons have fleece backing over the fullseat part. they are so toasty and cozy to wear, i left them on when i got home and took my nap in them.

you need to make sure you buy them to fit, and not larger because it is the lack of air/space between you and the material that keeps you warm.

I second the Irideon WindPros. I haven’t taken mine off since the weather dipped below 20F, though I do underlayer with underarmer when the temps get below 10F. My only gripe with them is the lack of beltloops.

Another thumbs up on the Irideons! I LOVE them. I have 2 pair I alternate between. They are so warm, so comfortable to wear, & comfortable to ride in. If I remember they are about $125 - $135 if you shop around.

Mine are Equissentials. Have had them for 10 years – look like new and I ride in only this one pair in the winter (that’s an average of 4 months here in Wisconsin!). They have a fleecy inside and the outside is polyester with deer skin full seats. I can ride outside with a windchill and the only part of me that gets cold is my face. My legs are the warmest. The nice thing too about these is I’m usually doing some sort of barn chore in them and hay and shavings do not stick to them. I also lost weight and the company altered them at no charge!

Tropical Riders Toasties!! No contest. They are both super warm and super comfy. The Equissentials Arctics are a bit confining, I think. I have the Irideons too, and the Toasties are much warmer. I loff them.

I rode in my Tropical Riders today and have to say I HATE them. Don’t know if they are “toasties”, but they are fleecy inside and relatively smooth-finished outside.-- I’ve had them for a couple of years and seldom wear them if I’m to ride because of the center seam. (OUCH!) They are nice and warm and are fine as long as I don’t have to ride much the day I wear them. Short rides are OK – or rides where I do not sit down in the saddle. They are so warm – perhaps this is a problem only with this pair or style?

I’m taking notes on those “other” breeches!

I have the irideon wind pros and kerrits sit tight and warms. Hands down the kerrits are WAY warmer than the irideons. Sometime they are too warm even when it’s frigid outside.
I ride outside all winter in New England and the Kerrits keep me comfy through everything.

I got a pair of FITS for Christmas…I love them because they are warm and I can sit trot comfortable. I have found that some winter breeches are tough to ride in (slippery, too bulky etc.)

Just got these this year, love them

Pikeur Lugana Ladies Breeches - Winter-Quality

I love my Tropical Rider toasties. I’ve been freezing my butt off for years… these suckers are so warm, they even help my TOES stay warm.

I’ve never noticed the seam…

 thanks everyone for your input.
I have a few good choices here thanks to ya’ll taking the time.
