any opinons on his methods or way of teaching? Has anyone had experience using his training?
I subscribed to his online video library and I love it. I mostly watch his hands while I watch the videos to learn how he uses his body to control the horses. I tried watching Clinton Anderson after Warwick, and he is a pathetic mess. Warwick explains everything in easy terms which is helpful for me as I am still learning.
The best part about him is his repetition which helps stick his words in my head so when I am working my horse I can hear his voice. He also has lots of “problem horse” videos that shows what he does when he has a rearing horse/bucking/biting and lots of other issues.
I do not have any Buck DVD’s but from what I’ve seen on You Tube, they both seem similar if you know Buck Brannaman.
I also watch his videos and love them. Trying to learn!!
He’s good, very simple, clear explanations and no gimmicks. He doesn’t try to sell you anything and keeps his mistakes on video. The video of him worming a horse shows the horse knocking the wormer out of his hand a couple times. You don’t have to be perfect, you just need to keep going.
I also love Warwick Schiller. I’ve used his groundwork methods on my horse and have seen an improvement. She has the best ground manners out of all 24 horses at the boarding barn. I have 3 DVD sets, I’ve watched all his YouTube videos and I’m going to one of his clinics in the fall. I don’t use his riding techniques (I ride english), but I can still incorporate some of his methods. “Make the wrong thing hard and the right thing easy.” He gets 5 out of 5 stars from me!
He’s great! You can subscribe to his library on his website, lots of good videos in there!
