Waterford D versus Stubben Waterford D-Ring Max Relax

Hi all, I did a search and came up short RE the stubben Waterford. Has anyone used a traditional Waterford D and a Stubben Waterford D ring? I am very interested in it, my horse responds to the Waterford really well, get very relaxed. He does not act like it is pinching, but in my mind it is, so I was looking into the Stubben. The mouth piece is the same but different. Just looking to see if anyone preferred this over the traditional Waterford.

*I am not looking to start a bit debate. I have used Waterfords on my horses who brace on bits for years. I already know I the wrong hands they can be harsh, just as any bit.

I have both and I have to say I love the Stubben Waterford! Every horse that I’ve used it on loves it, and each of those horses are quite different rides. They are nice and soft, happy, and carry the bit well. Plus, it sits in the mouth so much better than a traditional Waterford bit. It’s not nearly as “lumpy” if that makes sense. I highly recommend it!

I haven’t tried the Stubben waterford, but have tried the Trust one (they seem very similar in the goal of the bit). I really quite like this bit, I think it lays nicely in their mouth, and I think it takes away the possibility to pinch their lips where it connects to the D! Definitely worth the try!
