Waterproof/ resistant shoe boots for KY 3 Day?

I wore waterproof leather Ariat paddock boots to my first KY and they were fine but I really like a taller boot when I’m walking a cross country course.

Agreed!! They not only look good, they are actually really functional! I would never pack for LRK3DE without them, and I wear them plenty throughout the year.

I’m a year into owning my first pair of Muck Brand boots. And now I own 3 pairs. I love them all. I have the tall boots with insulation for winter, shorter height ones for daily use, and regular shoe looking slip ons that are fully waterproof for going out in the yard with the dogs.

I HIGHLY recommend these.

You can buy them at TSC and you can find more variety on their site and can have them shipped to your local store.

Ugh pooo… I need new waterproof chore boots, and I was waffling between the Dublins or a more “western” looking pair that also broke down after a year (with zero care tho, no oiling or anything and they got soaked a lot). No more waffling I guess…

Interestingly, I bought a pair of steel toed Redwing shoes! I have a phobia about my feet being stepped on, mostly because they have been and my toes have been crunched a couple of times. So these are perfect and surprisingly comfortable. A little bit heavy but let’s face it, I could use the exercise!!

Every year hubby and I go to the booth to ‘marvel’ at how waterproof they are just for the sparkling wine and whiskey they pour in the back of the booth.

ETA and answer the OPs question: I have a pair of Bogs, mid height, that my hubby found at one of those shoe discount stores. They’re pretty comfy - we walked most of the course and all of the trade fair - and definitely waterproof.

I know LRK3D is over but I love my Le Chameau wellies. Not super cheap but have lasted years longer than Hunters and are more flexible and fitted. I put sheepskin footbeds in for extra cush and they’re waterproof for sure!
