This week will be my first time showing during wchr week at wef. I’ll be showing in the 3’6 performance hunters, which includes an $850 stake class held in the international ring. Super excited, but wondering if I should break out the shadbelly or not for that last class, the stake class. I usually like to err on the side of overdressed rather than under, but also don’t want to stick out like a sore thumb if I end up being the only person wearing one. Hoping someone on here can tell me what the norm is for this week at wef particularly. I’ve noticed in previous weeks that people typically don’t wear shads in the stake classes, but wasn’t sure if people got more dressed up since it’s hunter week… TIA for any advice
I don’t recall seeing people wear them during the week, although I certainly don’t sit and watch every single class. Maybe you could bring it with you and then decide if you want to wear it, based on whether or not you would be the only one in the class. For sure, just about everybody who does the night class on Saturday will be wearing one.
Also maybe check and see if you can scroll back to the pictures from the same week last year on the sites of the show photographers to compare and contrast. That might give you a good idea of how many people wear them during the week.
Good luck there!!
No shads in my experience in the divisions. Only for the night class or the Sunday 3’ or 3’3 classics.
Good luck and have fun!
