This morning a student was laying on a couch in the commons area, and he was snuggled up on her chest, purring away while she petted him. Most of the students absolutely adore him, and ask about him when he doesn’t show up for the day.

Yes. Today he dragged the mouse with the bell on the tail into my classroom and played with it in the middle of the aisle. Then he carried it down to the main office to show off. He is one crazy cat! Extremely self-assured.

They are still on opposite sides of a door with not quite an inch under it. She will growl and hiss if she senses him close to the door. He spent much of the first day under the bed and then the second on top of the bookcase. Now he’s hanging out in the hall adjacent to her room more. I thought about seeing what happened if I let them be together when I got home yesterday, but it was after 5 and thus would be an emergency vet appointment if it went wrong. I’m away all day today so maybe tomorrow.

If they are fairly food motivated, I have heard that putting their food bowls or tasty treats on their respective sides of the door while they eat (his in the hallway, and hers near the door in the room) helps them get positive associations of the other ‘stranger’ kitty’s scent. if Foxy has to smell Dice while she eats, and loves eating, she’ll start liking Dice’s tuxedo man musk

He actually lives across the street from our building. Last fall he just started coming in with the students and he’s been there ever since. He’s generally waiting for me in the morning (I might feed him. Might.) Then he hangs out until he’s ready to go home.

Cold wet morning so Miss Fry tunneled into a fleece throw. I just checked her a min ago and she is completely hidden 
Went looking for Noel, found him! Dude, you’re in a ‘dangerous’ place! 
I only noticed after looking at the pic that he brought his favourite stuffed bird toy in with him (at the right of the carrier, the light brown object, the red is the underside of the bird wing)
