We need some cute Kitty pics to cheer us up

He is the sweetest little guy. He makes these little pweeting sounds - don’t really know how to describe it, but it’s like we have a gremlin in the house cause he walks around pweeting all the time. Barn cat by day, house cat at night - too many coyotes.

Just how much room is there in the sunbeam? Depends on who you ask. Figaro was not impressed about being used as a seat by Twig, Fawkes was being incredibly tolerant especially considering he is 2.5 weeks PU surgery (which probably warrants a thread of its own eventually). I am thrilled to see them all so well.

Miggy has plans. I’ve heard of cats taking over dog beds, but this is taking it too far.

I put it back and then he did it again.

Well, little Lucy had a hard day playing with her siblings so, when she took a nap last night in the “tube” (her favorite place), she was “out cold, snoozing away.”

Oh, to be so flexible.

Wow. I’ve just had a cat with similar markings and coloring show up a few days ago (a bit more white, though). I have been feeding a number of ‘feral’ cats. One tiger I call Stray Kitty (wary but not really scared of me), The Evil Twin (looks like the first but with a white bibs and paws–TRULY feral), the Triplet (looks identical to the first, but I saw them together so…), a fluffy orange cat, and a tuxedo.

Stray Kitty usually shows up, getting on top of a large, damaged airline kennel on my porch.
The kennel holds a straw-filled, insulated box which serves as a winter shelter (but is seldom used from what I can tell.) Stray Kitty stares into my window which lets me know it’s time to ‘put the food out.’ Apparently, the word got out, which is why I’m now the late-night kitty diner.

Stray Kitty hasn’t shown up for a few days, and if he doesn’t, I don’t put out the food until around 11 p.m. A few nights ago, I peeked out my front door window and saw the new cat sitting on my first porch step. I quickly got some food, went out, called “Kitty, Kitty!”, and set the food dish down. Well, she immediately came and started chowing down. She allowed me to pet her, even arching up into my hand.

She showed up again late at night and then in the afternoon. She would sometimes arch into my hand and purr rather than going immediately to the food. One day I looked out my kitchen window into the backyard and saw her head sticking out a hole in the neighbor’s (decrepit) garage roof. (The garage is in really bad shape but hasn’t been torn down.) I called to her, and she came out talking to me. (She IS very vocal.)

Well, a couple of nights ago, I brought her in my house because she felt so cold to me. I have a medium-sized airline kennel set up as a “time-out” place for my cats when needed. (Litter box, water dish, and bedding present.) I put her in there, added some food, and let her be as stress-free as possible. Well, I actually reached it and stroked her a few times. (She likes having her belly rubbed, purrs, and makes a LOT of biscuits.)

I did this for a couple of nights, letting her out in the morning. The first morning she streaked off, the second she sauntered off, and the third… Well, last night it was COLD. (It snowed and IS snowing.) The fact that she was/is so friendly made me wonder why she didn’t go home; she obviously has been someone’s pet. But she kept/keeps coming back.

And I was worried. She feels pregnant, but I’ve never had a pregnant cat before. I didn’t want her to have kittens outside; the garage next door is certainly not warm enough. So, last night, I brought her in, and she is still in the cat kennel. Doesn’t seem to have any problem with being there. I’ve already trimmed her front and back claws, no problem. I held her cautiously near two of my cats. Chloe just sniffed either. No problem on either side. I held the outdoor kitty up to my Abby who can be quite opinionated/aggressive. No reaction, and outdoor kitty did a brief wash of Abby’s face.

Don’t know what I am going to do. May put a note in all of my neighbors’ doors, to see if someone is missing their cat. I Do Not Need or Want Another Cat. I have six already. But our local animal shelters and humane societies are full and overwhelmed with the animals they have already.

So, I dunno. If she were truly feral, or at least like Stray Kitty, and if she were not pregnant (if she IS), I wouldn’t feel guilty about putting her outside again. I know there is a shelter, and I put food out, but…

Well, thanks for listening. I know many of you have faced the same problem or MORE.

I think you just got another cat. Or maybe a few.

Thank you for taking care of her.

The best cats are those that come to us. She sought you out. Agree, no way feral. I think she has made you her “person.” It is an honor to be chosen by a cat. Enjoy her, it sounds she is fitting in just fine.:heart:
