Opinions???
I prefer bottom adjust stirrup leathers over traditional leathers. I have the leather webbers from Bates and for the price, I’m not sure they are as well made as I expect them to be. I have a feeling that the buckle will wear through shortly and they haven’t had many rides. I got a nice set of bottom adjust dressage leathers from horze that I’m really happy with and would recommend over the webbers.
I like them. Mine are made by Shire–they aren’t super high quality but they are sturdy and comfortable. Much easier to adjust from the saddle than regular leathers.
Oh God I love mine.
I bought the synthetic Wintec ones for $30 because I hate cleaning stirrup leathers and never wanted to have to do it again.
Best tack decision I ever made.

An opposing opinion but I had those (10+ years ago so maybe they are different ) and hated them. The buckle thing always hit at my ankle bone.
I have a pair of bottom adjust Stubben leathers that I love.
I’ve had a few pairs of the Ovation ones as they are leather (didn’t want synthetic). Loved my first two pairs (which I sold since they were black and my saddles are brown). The third pair (and the replacement for those) were off. Basically, the holes didn’t line up, so I could never get my stirrups even.
I love them. I won’t ride in regular leathers any more. And it has been prob 20 yrs! I have the Wintec webbers and the better leather Bates. I prefer the Wintec. The Bates DO wear thru the leather and I have been fooled more than once into assuming the T was set in the slot when it wcanasn’t since you can’t see or really even feel if it is. Yes my old webbers are worn and tacky looking but nobody sees them under my leg.
I started using Webers when I got a pair with a used saddle. I love them. No bulk under your thigh, easy to adjust.
I’ve had the leather version and I actually prefer the synthetic.
I love webbers. This pair is really old and still durable.
