I have a horse that would make a great Fox Hunter, but I can’t find any specific Fox Hunting sites to post sale ads. Any suggestions?
You can try them:

There are also multiple Facebook groups.
Remember, just because you THINK it can hunt, doesn’t mean it will. A lot of fox hunters want experienced, and that is what most fox hunting groups are geared towards. Anyone can say they have a fox hunting prospect, but that doesn’t mean they will succeed in the field. I would HIGHLY suggest trying to send it to a local hunt barn to get it’s feet wet. They will be able to market it accordingly and evaluate its potential.
Yes. Unless it would make a good fox hunter because you’ve had it out at least 3-4 times and it was a superstar (or has hunted regularly for a while, generally) or you are an experienced fox hunter yourself, able to really assess the qualities needed in a fox hunter, fox hunting prospect doesn’t really mean much.
There are groups of Facebook for selling, but the fox hunting specific ones generally require you to list what Hunt the horse has been out with, how many times etc. If its a prospect, you generally need your credentials to show you know enough about the sport to recognize a prospect.
A lot of people seem to think “Hacks Well” or “Can jump” are all that is necessary, and there is a lot more to a good prospect than that!
Every horse is a foxhunting prospect. As they are dressage/eventing/endurance/jumping/trail riding prospects.
Foxhunters want Hunters, period.
I have a made hunter I’m planning to list this week. Any tips on sites where people look for made hunt horses?
