What are the current popular websites to advertise horses for sale? Do people still use Dreamhorse?
It’s been ages since ive sold one and this one isnt terribly $$$. But he’s nice and has potential
Any recommendations appreciated.
Dreamhorse is still used for low to mid budget horses (I would say under $40k) in most disciplines. I think that website has the best search functions. Other than that, Facebook groups (location, and breed or discipline specific) are probably most common.
Above that price range it’s usually a trainer selling through their own channels.
Yeah he’s def on the very low end of that under $40k range lol. Super young and super green lol
There is no treiner involved, I’ve been using fb but wasn’t sure if there was anything else more in favor now than Dreamhorse. Thanks!
Mane Street Market has a good following, and Facebook is definitely the most common platform right now. Dreamhorse is not that popular these days.
Thank you. I had not heard of that one.
I’ve been using fb for some time now posting him but maybe I’m just not on the right pages
I use Dreamhorse and Equinenow.com. I would say they are pretty equal in the amount of inquiries I receive from them.
Thanks!!
I do marketing for a consignment barn, and we mainly advertise on FB.
However, we also list on Dreamhorse & Equine Now mostly with the most direct hits outside of FB. I’d say out of all the horse sale websites, Dreamhorse gives us the most action.
We just cancelled our subscription and listings on Mane Street, because we got 0 hits over the 4+ months we used them. We do still list on VAequine but only because it’s free, not a ton of hits there.
Our fox hunters go on The Fox Hunting Horse.
Gosh, these days, seems like most things “move” on Facebook in my area.
Of the last 2 horses I have bought … I bought them through FB!
That’s what I thought too but I haven’t had much luck there. Are there any specific groups you’re using?
