WEG Driven dressage?

I see according to the broadcast schedule that there is a morning and afternoon session of driven dressage on Thursday and Friday. I remember someone mentioned a while ago that the drivers were going to go twice. Not true, I hope? Or did they just divide 30+ teams into 4 groups. Anyone know for sure? Thanks.

Has far as I know, the drivers have been divided into 4 groups, and only driving 1 test, not 2. There is a presentation inspection that is NOT mandatory, but I do not know when that is.

Hope this helps, see you there 49er

CAA says (on FB): Driving starts tomorrow {Wed} with the first horse inspection at 10a.m., and the optional Presentation competition at 2:30p.m.!!

.

which test is used in weg driven dressage? 6a or 8a? or…?

The whole group was split into 4 groups for driving as the stewards were required to create groups months ago when tickets when on sale. Then in August they found out that not as many teams were coming but by that point it was too late already, hence the groups are small.

They are driving test 8A.

I have never seen this in person before, went this afternoon, saw the winning team, OMG, the whole thing was stunning!!

Does anyone have some video footage> I am thinking about this for my horse that cannot be ridden any more but loves ground driving…

FEI tv is playing all the driving for FREE! just go to the site and look on the right hand side.

from someone that was there - it wasn’t that bad that there weren’t that many teams. Yes it kind of sucked that we had to pay four times to see all the tests but considering it was bleacher seating out in the sun, we were glad for the short sections. Gave us time to get up, go shop, get food, come back refreshed.

And yes, Boyd’s test was legendary. Picture perfect…

The stewards I spoke to had to make the decision to split the drivers into four groups months before entries were due because of ticket sales. They couldn’t change the groupings as tickets were already sold when they found out how many were actually coming in August.

right, Smply, I’m sure they were also waiting to take the wrath for folks that had to pay four times to see all the tests. But we thought it was fine.

my favorite section was the first morning. Had my favorite sets of horses. I like the fancy movers…
