That is cool.
Commentators?
Anyone know who the commentators are?

I wonder who the Arabian horse and Friesian horse folks had to bribe to get their actual on camera time? On the bright side, the Native American ceremony at the beginning was awesome, and was broadcast seemingly in its entirety.[/QUOTE]
Still, alot of time on the dancing girls! I would have liked to see more of the sidesaddle rider.
I can only think that the cameraman or producer aren’t horse people. They seem to get bored watching the horses and feel the need to cut away for something more “interesting”. Like an orchestra
Tough crowd! I don’t disagree that we could have had more close-ups on the horses, but I’m still enjoying it! I think it’s improving as we go in that regard, and, given that this is live and isn’t, say, ESPN, I’m not so disappointed.
Good job on the “Friesian Train” drill team. Nice!

Exactly. The producers should know better.

Who in the ASHA was responsible for planning the ASB presentation? Perhaps doing something a little more intricate than trotting in circles would’ve been a more “camera friendly” idea (yes, I realize this is the World Equestrian Games, but they seemed to be more than happy to keep the camera ON the Friesians as compared to the Arabians or ASBs). I realize the horses are famous show horses, but if you don’t follow ASBs, that doesn’t mean much.
Oh no! Lost feed! Anyone else lose their feed?
lost connection
I lost mine.

I hear ya. That’s where the problem really starts. Lack of planning on ASHA’s part.
At the same time though, I would have thought this would have been a world-class opportunity to promote ALL our native breeds: ASBs, Morgans, QH, Nokota, whatever. And it’s been a pretty epic fail in that regard.
Did everybody else’s live feed just croak? Mine did.
Yep, just lost mine. Tried to refresh screen and reconnect, but no luck. Came over here to see if anyone else was having the same problem. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted.
Yes…and still nothing! Ugh! It isn’t doing anything.
Back on!
I got blown out of the site and can’t get back in.
This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius, the Age of Aquarius, A-a-a-quarius!
Connection back.
mine too…lost connection

Way cool! I love that touch! Lost my feed, will try again in a bit
I was verklempt when the RACEHORSES, led by Chris McCarron, entered the arena. I loved the National Anthem, best I’ve heard in a long, long time. And, repeat, thought Wynonna did proud with MOKH. But anybody could squeak that out on a blade of grass and I’d be a mess.
Back to the coverage…
Mine was lost for a few minutes, but now it’s back. Just in time for Princess Haya.
ETA: Jumped the gun on the Princess, my bad.
