Yep, me too, pissed off beyond all words, or at least those that can be said in this forum. WTF was that all about, camera people showed more of the blankety blank fiddle players than the horses.
I’m feeling a bit unpopular here…I thought Wynonna did a great rendition of my OKH, but that’s my opinion. I felt it was respectful and appropriate for the occasion.

I know. I could have used more horse shots, less crowd shots. Anyone crazy enough to be watching the WEG opening ceremonies on saturday night wants to see the horses, not the crowd, not the singer and not random people milling about in the middle of the ring. That said, nice rendition of My Old Kentucky Home.
I think I’ll move to some obscure European country (say Latvia) bring along a quarter horse and set myself up as the reining team for the next WEG.

I wonder who the Arabian horse and Friesian horse folks had to bribe to get their actual on camera time? On the bright side, the Native American ceremony at the beginning was awesome, and was broadcast seemingly in its entirety.
Just realized the kids accompanying the country names are wearing jockey silks from famous Thoroughbred owners. How cool is that.
