Each country can send up to five riders – four team members and one individual. The best three scores will count for the team. The final four selected to represent the U.S. as a team will be confirmed after the first horse inspection at the Championship.

Team Price is in Pratoni for the test event. They posted that it will be live streamed. I can’t find a link on the site yet, but there is some verbage:

" The Eventing Test Event (May 12-15) will also be a rehearsal for the television production that will be provided during the FEI World Championships, when there will be 40 cameras around the site, some of which are special and innovative for this kind of event. The Eventing Test Event will therefore be televised in full with live streaming on FEI TV (with English commentary) and also on the Pratoni2022 website."

Ok I can’t find a thread anywhere on it. Who’s gonna be the team? I realize some might come down to Great Meadow.

Nice how the US included the grooms in the announcement.

Seems like a strong team with more pairs with international experience overall than many recent US teams - hoping for a strong showing!

Am I the only one surprised not to see Doug Payne and Quantum Leap listed anywhere, not even as one of the 6 alternates?

I found that very strange as well. Maybe Doug wanted to give him more time with Paris as the main goal? They’ve been pretty opening in saying that his dressage is very much still a work in progress.

At least in my mind, I don’t see how they couldn’t have at least had him on the alternate list unless it was a decision made by Doug and his team.

Regarding Doug, Could be a medical issue that surfaced in the Sunday vet evaluations

I was also surprised not to see Doug. I think he had said in an interview he did with Equiratings he was hoping for Pratoni with him? But I might be misremembering. Or ya know, life with horses. Maybe something else came up.
