Weird bump under front leg

notice this under my horses front left for leg tonight and have no idea what it is, going to touch base with my vet tomorrow, but she’s not sensitive to it. She’s an older mayor and goes out alone … potentially a bite? It seems to be large and fluid filled though…

Looks like a tick bite to me

Even if it was a tick and it fell off, wouldn’t you see a bite mark?

I though maybe a sting , mosquito or something like that and maybe the placement / or reaction is the reason it is enlarged? Just guessing.

My rule of thumb is: if the horse doesn’t care, watch it but don’t worry.

Usually there is a little scabby thing but not always

I know it’s not the typical location, but could it be a shoe boil, from the other foot when the horse has his front legs tucked under?

My horse had a tick bite in almost the same area that did this. His was a bit more in the armpit. It’s the only one I’ve found that did this. It ended up getting quite firm and hung around for months before it finally went away. It didn’t seem to bother him.

Mine has a (much smaller) similar bump in exactly the same spot. It is hard, not painful, and pea-sized. I am electing to just watch it. If it was larger, became painful, or interfered with movement or tack, I might think differently.
