Weird Scabs on Cat's Ear

There’s just a couple and they don’t seem to be bothering her at all. The vet saw them two days ago when we were there and wasn’t concerned. But there’s a tiny bald streak between them, maybe 1/8"? There’s no evidence of healing scrapes under them. I figure she just got a scrape on one of her closet explorations, and they’re not getting worse, but I wonder what they could be.

Just scabs hopefully? She is an indoor cat and doesn’t hang out with other cats.

irritants of any kind from contact to heat ( wood stoves, baseboards) can produce a sore which might not be easily observed.

The area heels away and the fur releases and lets go showing, often , a smooth bald spot.

Keep an eye on the area If kitty develops a rough crumbly looking skin texture you may be dealing with something like Squamous cell carcinoma which can happen, particularly on ears that are white /pink or orange. Sun damage , even thru a window can lead to this. if the area develops a powdery moth wing like appearance you may be dealing with ringworm

it can take up to 45 days+ to regenerate fur to a bald patch

Thanks, hoopoe, I was worried it might be something like one of those. Her ears are black. I’m thinking of putting some Vaseline on it but since she’s not scratching it or shaking her head or anything I figured I’d just keep an eye on it. She doesn’t mind me examining it; she doesn’t like me doing it but she doesn’t fuss.

Usually with removed scabs there’s pink healing skin underneath but not with this. I’m just glad the vet saw it.
