I am not really able to believe it still but Gin and I won the field hunters competition at the RRP Tb Makeover.
There were 9 total horses competing and we led the scores the whole way. There were some lovely animals in the group and everyone had a good time, as all field hunters should!
There was a stirrup cup at the beginning (options included Sherry, Port and OJ. I stuck with OJ) and a pretty decent test during our mock hunt. The hunt was a bit challenging as we would stop and start quickly and even Gin got fidgety at points when there were no harks or cries from the hounds.
There is a video online of our top 3 final round in the indoor. Those of us in the top 3 had to come back and work off once more to get the final placings.
Overall Gin was a star, there will be articles about us (RRP and an individual) in Covertside and on their website.
Moreover I am thrilled to have done my new hunt family proud. I cannot say enough positive things about the folks at Andrews Bridge. They made all of this possible.
Thanks so much for all of your great advice, I think we looked pretty good, correct and the pics of this event are lovely.
