Wellies for men

I wear Hunter wellies to the barn in wet weather and happily get everything done with dry feet. Hubby wear Ariat Terrains and gets wet feet (we have deep mud at times)

I am tired of his whining. I can get him Hunter wellies, but wondered about alternatives - ones that will stand up to 1’ deep mud/puddle, aren’t lace up or cowboy boots, and aren’t basic feed store rain boots. Google isn’t locating any brands in particular. Bogs? What else?

Slip on LL Bean boots? Check out boots on the cabelas site. I know I saw quite a few wellies in their store but don’t recall the brands.

Bogs or Muck Boots.

My SO and I got a pair of Bogs last year on sale and they are fantastic. We both walk our dogs in them and they are extremely comfortable. Of course, I also wear mine to the barn which is mudville this time of year. Great in the cold too.

my husband got himself a pair of Le Chameau boots 5 years ago that still look almost new with daily walks in muddy farm fields. They’re not cheap but supposedly last a decade.

Never heard of these, so went googling. Looks like this is killer deal for guy with little feet!

(I wonder how my ladies size 9 would do in those…hmmmm.)

Sinkie, I’ve bought men’s shoes & they seem to run 2 sizes larger, so your Womens 9 = Mens 7.
The toebox is going to be wider than you’re used to, but unless you have very narrow feet that could be a plus.

Dang!
Those boots (& orice) looked good, but Mens 8 is too big for me.

Re the Bogs ones, with those handles on the side do you get water coming over the top there? Seems like they do reduce the depth of muck you can wade through…

I have boots similar to bogs/muck boots, made by Ducks Unlimited (bought at Cabella’s) that are holding up far better than my previous bogs or mucks have. No pull loops in the neoprene uppers and they hit just below my knees, so plenty of protection from even the worst mud.

I wore out a pair of bogs in under a winter, and my mucks split open the first time I had a horse step on my toes. Not cool!

For mud and slop,wWe both have Le Chameau boots that are over a decade old and look new. For not super-deep mud, I am happy abusing Blundstones.
