Who are the best west coast hunter, jumper trainers? Are there any trainers on the west coast that go to wef as well?
Jim Hagman of Elvenstar went to WEF this year. I know they were pretty happy to at least partially skip Thermal.
Dick Carvin/Susie Schroer of Meadow Grove have gone to Florida, but I doubt they will now that they have a permanent barn at Thermal/Coachella. Or maybe they would do a couple weeks with just one of the trainers.
One of Archie Cox’s students was at WEF this winter, but I believe she was actually training with someone else. she’s kind of her own barn now.
Tara Metzner was also at WEF this year I believe.
I ride at Meadow Grove and I am pretty blown away by the professionalism and quality of instruction, but I’m newer to jumpers, so very likely easily impressed! :yes:
