Western gaited saddle- Hilason?

I am looking for a decent Western saddle for showing my TWH and hoping not to spend a lot since I mostly ride/show English. Does anyone have any recommendations? I am curious about Hilason saddles, I’m sure they’re no Circly Y, but would it be a decent enough western saddle to show 1-2 western classes in?

TIA for any input.

Google “Hilason saddle reviews”, most are not kind.

I saw one for sale at a tack sale this spring, it was poorly made-warped leather on one side, just all around rather cheap looking.

You know, 3 yrs ago World Champion in Shelbyville, TN had a Reinsman gaited saddle brand new for $500! Retail was like $1500 but it was a discontinued model, and several of the TWH tack shops consolidated that year. I STILL kick myself every summer for not getting that steal of a deal!! Ugh.

It ees crap

My riding instructor may have a Dixieland that another client is selling. Instructor is dressage and she says its super comfy!

Give it a try. We need pictures.

I have a Crates gaited saddle (not the Tennessean) for my Morgan that works great. It’s not a super show saddle, very little silver, but I’ve shown in it and done well. Also use it for my everyday work saddle.

Not the greatest pic, but you get the idea. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1051562501650&set=a.1051560501600.144200.1603391978&type=3&theater
