I’ve been riding on and off for most of my life but the vast breadth of my experience is riding English. I rode hunt seat as a kid, and as an adult have dabbled in eventing/dressage. Right now I lease a Morgan. We mostly do flat work, low level dressage type stuff a few times a week.
I’ve only ever ridden western a few times, mostly walking trail rides on a vacation. I’m hoping to do some sort of ranch vacation out west next summer but I’d like to get more comfortable with western and hopefully get some instruction and work on loping.
Does anyone have any recommendations for western lessons on school horses? I’m in Philadelphia but would be willing to travel at least an hour outside either to Montgomery or Bucks county (would also consider S. Jersey). I’d plan to keep my current lease so I was hoping a place would be open to me coming out once or twice a month.
